This piece tells the story of butterflies flittering about all the green things in the garden, and I’ve added white fresh water pearls just because they look good—we could pretend they represent white flowers, right? The butterflies are acid-etched onto the raw copper and it’s been waxed with Renaissance Wax to preserve the look for a long time to come. The green beads are glass and you will find copper beads strung in there too. The beaded part measures 4” and then the copper-colored chain begins. Total length of the necklace part of it measures 28” and then there’s an extra smaller chain extender that measures 4” and has a green glass leaf at the end, just as an embellishment. It closes at the back with a crab claw clasp. The piece is signed on the back with the Down in the Delta logo.
