The Lovely Serena—Copper Mermaid with Friends (Published in Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine) AVAILABLE AT INNOVA ARTS

This is Serena. Why do I love her so much?  She’s an “imperfect” mermaid, much like me. She’s not beautiful and curvy like most mermaid representations in art, so she’s more like most of us.  And she’s surrounded herself with a close circle of friends, and that resonates with me, as well.  She’s a little edgy with that black patina and she’s definitely making a statement at 4” tall!  The little friends hanging from her hands are various charms that I’ve collected over the years in my jewelry-making journey.  The seashell is natural, and I believe I’ve included a couple of crystal beads too.  It’s signed on the back with my Down in the Delta stamp, and she hangs from a 28” copper-colored chain, that has an extra 3” extender chain at the end.  Closure is crab claw.
