Sterling Silver and Labradorite with Pearls and Crystal Beads
This piece is two necklaces in one—the labradorite focal pendant can be removed to wear the pearl necklace alone. Or the pendant can be worn on a chain…so many possibilities. It would look great on leather too. This is due to the way I designed the bail on the back. I’ve left it open at the bottom so that the wires can be lifted up and off. When you’re ready to put it back on, you slip them back on around the center crystal bead. The gorgeous labradorite stone is faceted and shows so many colors when the light hits it and it moves—you’ll see blues, greens, purples, pinks, peach and grey. These colors are also mirrored in the choice of pearls and beads I’ve used. The focal stone is set in a solid silver handmade bezel that’s soldered to a silver backplate. The labradorite is a little over an inch from top to bottom and almost 3/4” wide. Total measurements of the pendant —1 1/4” from bottom to top of silver and 3/4” wide. Beaded necklace measures 18” and closes in the back with a sterling silver hook.
